Financial Aid
For each year that financial assistance is offered at Dallas International School (DIS), there is an application process, which begins in the early Spring and applies to the tuition for the following school year. Financial Aid is available to returning and new students to DIS.
The complete application process requires registering with an external evaluator that helps in evaluating the financial situation of each family. Our external evaluator is Blackbaud Financial Aid Management (BBFAM), in conjunction with Blackbaud Tuition Management (BBTM), which is the tuition management site of DIS.
Financial help provided by DIS for one school year averages $5,000 per student who qualifies through the application process. Among the documents required by DIS for the application process is a copy of the family's previous tax return for the year of application. The deadline for all the application steps to be completed, and all requested documents to be provided to DIS or BBFAM, is April 30.

Please contact Amber Shaikh by email (ashaikh@dallasinternationalschool.org) if you have additional questions regarding financial aid or want to receive the step by step instructions for the application. Do note that the application will only be evaluated for those students who are accepted and enrolled for the year in which they are applying. Decisions will be communicated by the end of May to those families who have fully completed the Financial Aid application and DIS Enrollment. French nationals studying at our school have the opportunity to apply annually for need-based scholarships (bourse scolaire) directly from the French government. This support is possible because the Dallas International School maintains its accreditation from the French Ministry of Education. Information about the bourse scolaire can be found on the French Consulate’s website. Please contact Karine Afopa by email (kafopa@dallasinternationalschool.org) for information regarding the application. |
