Study Abroad
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Dallas International School works through its global network of sister schools to send students on exchange trips around the globe. As part of this network, DIS also welcomes students from other countries to Dallas to study and take part in our school community. Families house these students and help them integrate into daily life in America. The same is done for those DIS students that travel to Spain, France, Taiwan and the many other locations that are available to them.
A committee at DIS decides which students will participate in the foreign exchange program. The criteria for participation include reviewing the student's behavior and their academic level. The number of placements is limited, depending on the number of high school students who want to participate in the exchange at each sister school. French Baccalaureate and IB Dipolma students can participate in the exchange.
