10th Annual Multilingual Theater Festival, May 10-13, 2017

Since 2007, the Annual Multilingual Theater Festival has welcomed international students from all over the US to gather together for stimulating and creative weekends of wit and laughter.

We’ve enjoyed participation from the following schools:
  • Dallas International School
  • Ecole Internationale de New York
  • French-American School of Puget Sound
  • French-American School of San Francisco
  • Houston – AWTY School
  • International School of Boston
  • International School of the Peninsula
  • Lycée International de Los Angeles
  • Russian School of Dallas
  • San Diego French-American School

The Dallas Children’s Theater is a wonderful venue for our students and accommodates the troupes with an intimate performing space staffed by professional techs to work the lighting and sound. Daily workshops in the adjoining classrooms will help students learn unique theatrical skills.

Examples of past theatrical workshops:
  • Stage Combat
  • Improv
  • Clowning with the NY Goofs
  • Special FX Makeup
  • Circus skills – aerial silk, movement with Lone Star Circus
The festival ends with an award ceremony recognizing our young thespians. A special guest speaker opens the ceremony with a question and answer session, allowing students to better understand the ins and outs of the acting business.

This year at  DIS, we are hosting our 10th Annual Multilingual Theater Festival.  We look forward to welcoming previous participants back to Dallas and to welcome new ones to our four day event.
