Dallas International School Students Celebrate Halloween Week with Health and Safety at the Forefront of Activities
It’s always a spooky good time at Dallas International School during Halloween week, and this year was no different. To ensure the health and safety of all students and faculty, social distancing and masks were required, and Halloween activities and events were staggered. However, students still celebrated in true DIS fashion on both campuses, dressing up in some incredibly creative costumes.
Replacing our annual Halloween parade on our Churchill campus this year, students instead held individual classroom showcases. This allowed students to safely model their costumes for their teachers and peers in smaller, more contained groups. On our Waterview campus, the Student Government Association (SGA) held a staggered costume show for students outside to allow students’ costumes to be seen. Waterview campus students also held a costume contest, awarding 200 points for the winner’s house as the grand prize.
