Tenth Grade Students Receive French Brevet Diplomas in Socially-Distanced Ceremony Celebrating Their Academic Achievements
On Thursday, October 1, Dallas International School tenth grade students received their French brevet diplomas (Le Diplôme National du Brevet des Collèges) in a socially-distanced ceremony at our Waterview campus. The French National Brevet is an assessment and certification of knowledge and skills acquired at the end of middle school (which ends with ninth grade for French students), and is presented to students within the sphere of French cultural influence.
To be awarded a diploma, pupils must acquire the seven key competencies of the "Common Core of Knowledge and Skills" and score a select number of points continuously awarded throughout the academic year. This year, all DIS students passed the brevet assessment on their first attempt with exceptional scores. Congratulations to all the tenth graders who accomplished such an amazing achievement.
