A Heartfelt Surprise for the New Class of CM2 Students
Transitioning into middle school can be an overwhelming but exciting time for DIS students as they adapt to a brand new campus and new teachers. This past May, with this transition in mind, Waterview Student Life Coordinator, Sophie Damour, and former CM2 (5thgrade) students created something special for this year’s CM2 class. Our previous CM2 students and their teachers created heartfelt notes and drawings for the present day CM2 class to help ease them into their new environment. The notes and messages were left with teachers at the end of this past academic year.
Last week, when arriving on campus to pick up their books for a brand new school year, this year’s CM2 students were met with a surprise. Students were overjoyed to open their books to see the notes and well wishes left by the former class. We wish the best for all our new CM2 students and would like to thank Sophie Damour for such a creative idea to help the new fifth grade students settle into a new routine.
