Dallas International School Awards Graduating Senior Student-Athletes with Honors
The 2019-2020 academic year was filled with achievements and accomplishments from Dallas International School students.
Among these achievements were several awards and honors obtained by our student-athletes. Exceling on and off the field, these students were recognized for their outstanding efforts this year. Graduating seniors, Isabella Flodin and Arthur Algudo, will receive the Sophie Davis Award and the Catherine Lévy Award.
Named after our upper school Head of Student Affairs, the Sophie Davis Award has been presented to Isabella Flodin for her outstanding play and commitment to her craft. A dedicated athlete and excellent student, Isabella would regularly leave campus to train for athletic competitions outside of Dallas, while still ensuring she balanced her full course load and stayed on top of her studies. In addition to Tigre athletics, Isabella also attended tennis tournaments around the region throughout the year, eventually becoming recruited the United States Air Force Academy to play for their Division 1 Tennis team.
Receiving the Catherine Lévy Award, named after our Head of School, Arthur Algudo has been recognized for his extraordinary leadership on the field and outstanding efforts as the captain of the soccer and basketball teams this year. An exceptional student, Arthur stepped up to become a beacon of motivation and commitment for his teammates, receiving many accolades throughout the year, including making the TAPPS All-District 1st team in soccer for his driving force in helping the Tigres win the TAPPS State Championship, and receiving a TAPPS 2-A High School Basketball All-District honorable mention.
Dallas International School would like to congratulate these two exemplary student-athletes, and all the graduating senior class athletes for a memorable athletic year. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Allez les Tigres!
