Tenth Grade Student Shows Vocal and Music Writing Talent Amid his Achievements as Competitive Athlete

Dallas International School tenth grade FB student, Jordon Keener, recently wrote and recorded a song titled, “Uncontrollable Love,” that has since left his music teacher and members of the faculty in awe.

Learning how to play the guitar only a year ago during his freshman year, Jordon has since fallen in love with music. Mario Rapaj, his music teacher said, “The lyrics and performance of the song revealed emotion and a sense of calm in his tone and melody. It is a beautiful song and I really enjoyed listening to it. There are clearly lots of talented individuals at the school. I look forward to discovering more over the course of the year at DIS.”
Jordon recently performed at the school concert organized earlier this year and looks forward to taking every opportunity to be onstage whenever he can. Alongside his role as captain of the DIS varsity basketball team, he also plays for a soccer club for the American Academy of Soccer, an amateur basketball team where he travels for tournaments around the country and studies both French and Spanish during the summer.
