Making Dallas International School Proud, DIS Euro Challenge Team Advances to the Semifinals
Dallas International School made it all the way to the semifinals at the 2020 Euro Challenge team, giving an impressive show during the contest that took place from May 12-18. Qualified as a wild card due to an impressively high score during the preliminary round, the team went up against 24 other schools across the country.
Pierrick Afopa, Eddy Silva, Saara Bidiwala and Chloe Serna showcased their knowledge of European Union monetary and fiscal policies before a panel of expert judges, delivering a solid presentation that the team has been working on together over the past year. Many hours of research and more recently, virtual weekend study sessions, reflect the team’s unwavering dedication and determination to perform the best that they could, despite the ongoing social distancing challenges faced.
The Euro Challenge is a program launched and supported by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, and is managed on the Delegation's behalf by Wise (Working in Support of Education). Congratulations to the team on all their hard work and Tigre spirit!
