Earlier this week, Dallas International School celebrated its annual Pi Week, hosted by the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society.
Pi is a mathematical constant that appears in many formulas in Mathematics and Physics. It is approximately equal to 3.14, and is represented by the Greek letter "Π" (pi). Middle and high school students took part in many activities, like memorizing and reciting as many digits as they could in pi (3.1415926…) and more. Awards and prizes were given to students who submitted the funniest math-themed memes they could find. The event also welcomed special guests from the University of Texas at Dallas.
