At DIS, we encourage students to be as involved as possible on campus through extracurricular activities and chasing their passions wherever their interests lie. For 9th grade student athlete, Jordon Keener, sports were his calling.
On Sunday, January 27, Dallas International School continued tradition, holding its 18th annual DIS Music Concert. Located in UTD's Jonsson Performance Hall, this year's concert had vocal and instrumental performances from students CM2-12th grade.
Wednesday, January 16, DIS 9th graders (A, B, IB) participated in a poetry reading of their own poems in the Waterview Campus library. While studying Karen Hesse’s verse novel, Out of Dust in Ms. Tomlinson’s Advanced English class, students learned the fundamentals of poetry.
Thursday, January 17, DIS parents and faculty attended the annual State of DIS address at the Waterview campus. During the address, M Ferret shared the 2014-2019 strategic plan, keypoints from the ISAS report and spoke about what the next chapter of DIS will bring.
