Middle School: Off-Campus Learning
Students in 6th-8th grade take field trips every year to various locations around the Metroplex to help enhance their learning. These trips usually last one day and are typically taken once per school year. In the past, students have visited museums, important historical sites and much more.
Washington, D.C. Class Trip (8th grade)
This annual five day, four night trip to the nation's capital is one of the highlights of the middle school experience at DIS. Eighth graders travel with their classmates, teachers and parent chaperones to visit the most important historical sites around D.C. Students are able to see what they've studied in the classroom firsthand and gain valuable knowledge in the areas of history and citizenship.
