Our swim program at Dallas International School (DIS), is rapidly making waves in the competitive swimming scene. We are proud to offer a dynamic and competitive program for both middle and high school students. Though still relatively new, our high school swim team has already demonstrated remarkable potential and dedication, making us a rising force to be reckoned with.
In 2023, our swimmers showcased their talent by competing in the TAPPS State Championship, and they continued to impress by securing a 3rd place finish in the 2024 Championship. This rapid progression is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our athletes and coaching staff.
Under the expert guidance of Coach Laetitia Sevin and Coach Sergio Franklin, our swim team is poised for even greater achievements. Coach Sevin’s leadership and experience are invaluable assets, instilling in our swimmers the skills and confidence needed to excel. There is no doubt that a state championship victory is on the horizon for DIS.

DIS Swim Team Tryout Process and Requirements
Dear Students and Parents,
We are excited to announce the details of our upcoming Swim Program for this school year. Please find the information below regarding try-outs, registration, and practice schedules:
Swim Team Try-Outs:
- Dates: August 21st - August 23rd (Wednesday - Friday)
- Grades: 6th - 12th grade
- Location: UTD Pool
- Time: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Registration Details:
- Try-out Registration: DIS Swim Program Try-Outs Sign-Up Sheet 2024-25
- Team Registration Opens: September 1st
- Eligibility: Only student-athletes who receive a confirmation email from Coach Sevin after try-outs will be eligible to register for the Team Swim Program.
- Required Athletics Forms: All medical and administration forms must be completed by September 10, 2024.
Swim Program Expansion:
- We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening the Swim Program to 5th graders during the Spring trimester, ONLY from March 1st to June 3rd.
First Team Practice:
- Date: September 10th
- Please note that the first team practice will be held on this date due to Coach Sevin attending the Paralympics in France.
We encourage all interested student-athletes to participate in the try-outs. Should you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me or Coach Sevin.
