Alisa Tugberk
Secretary
Alisa and her husband, Adrian, have been in Dallas for nine years and part of the DIS community for the last two. She can’t believe her children are all Texans, but DIS helps keep their perspective global. Her oldest son is entering CE2/3rd grade this year.
Alisa has volunteered at both the French and English Book Fairs as well as at Carnival and Auction. This year, she’s looking forward to deepening her involvement, leading the Ambassador Program and serving as the Board’s Secretary.
A native of Washington, DC, and a transplant from Manhattan by way of Istanbul and Mexico City, Alisa holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BS in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University. While no longer active in the business world, Alisa was an executive at American Express and before that spent time in academia. In her free time, she can be found dreaming up far flung travel adventures and doing volunteer admissions work for her alma maters.
She is excited to bring her business, non-profit and leadership skills together to serve the DIS community at a much more committed level.
