Hear From Our Parents

It's more than a School

We are a Franco-Mexican family who has been in DIS for over ten years. We love the strong education that pushes our kids to think, question, and understand the world. DIS has allowed us to be surrounded by a great international community where even if we might be different, we all feel like citizens of the world. In DIS, my kids are students and individuals with their own history, strengths, and growth opportunities. Over time, DIS has become more than a school; it’s become an important part of our life.

Why I Choose DIS

Initially, my husband and I chose DIS because we wanted our daughters to benefit from a bilingual education. Despite only speaking English ourselves, we had experienced enough of the world to understand that our children could only benefit from learning to speak more than English. We are grateful for our daughters' education at DIS. Our oldest child graduated in 2020 and is now a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering (and minoring in French) at a prestigious university here in the States. She has expressed gratitude for the education she received at DIS, the friendships she made, and the mentoring she received from the outstanding teachers at DIS.
