Clay Time

A fun-filled workshop where the students explore the different techniques of hand-building while using their creativity and acquiring a sense of space, form and structure.

Writers' Den

This creative writing workshop conducted in English will encourage the students to develop their interest in writing through exciting projects such as cartoons, press releases and short plays.

Karate Dojo

The karate camp combines traditional karate classes, karate games and self-defense techniques. An emphasis is placed in creating a safe and fun environment.

Mad Science

From space to atoms, our little scientists will have fun understanding the world around them and experience how to make robots, rockets, create a crystal garden, and even play spy to find out WHODUNIT using physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering.

 Spanish Drama

In this half-day workshop designed for intermediate or advanced levels, the students will create and perform easy plays in Spanish. This is an invaluable confidence-building activity.

Language Immersion

For All Children (Ages 3-10)

In this 6-week program the children are placed in immersion classes which put emphasis on the acquisition of conversational skills through fun activities. Children learn the basics of the language studied as well as aspects of the culture. Arts and crafts as well as other more physical activities such as gymnastics, yoga or dance are also included in the program. Classroom activities are conducted in the language studied. The languages currently offered are Chinese, English, French and Spanish.

For Teenagers (Ages 11-17)

Native French and Spanish speakers teach these language classes using our immersive method of teaching. Even though the main focus is on conversation, all four skills (speaking, writing, listening comprehension and reading comprehension) are covered during this workshop.

English as a Second Language - ESL (Ages 7-16)

Combining formal instruction and fun activities, this intensive ESL program will enable the students to improve their conversational skills as well as their mastery of the written language.

Example of a typical day:

  • 1 period of group class instruction
  • 1 period of supervised language lab
  • 1 period of conversation practice
  • 1 period of recreational activity

For DIS Students

Classes that are dedicated exclusively to DIS students are the following:

  • The PDF fileCP Preparation Class: this is an all-day French Class for children enrolled in Maternelle 3
  • The Advanced Spanish Workshop: this a half-day Class in which students who have solid foundations in the language can engage in an array of activities where they will use their language skills
