School Break Camps

The DIS Language Institute offers a number of activities during the seasonal school breaks (Fall, Winter and Spring break). These activities, which are reserved for DIS students, are provided in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Uniforms are not required. The program runs the Monday through Friday of the break, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Before and after school care is available at an additional fee.

Language Camp

The Language Camp is open to children enrolled in Maternelle 1 through CE2. Pending upon enrollment, we may open classes for CM1 and CM2 students. In addition to the weekly themes incorporating projects such as art, stories, drama, music and other creative methods, there will be physical activities such as gymnastics and circus. Children are placed in sections according to age.

Intensive French Workshop

Open to students enrolled in CP through CM2, these workshops have been designed for the students who wish to strengthen their French language skills. Activities include using the lab to improve listening and reading comprehension.

Artist Workshop

The Artist Workshop is a half-day program open to children ages 7-12. Each workshop features a different artist. Students gain knowledge and appreciation of the art forms used by the artists and attempt to create works of art that mirror their style. Parents are invited to see an exhibition of their children's work at the end of the workshop.

This workshop is offered subject to a minimum enrollment of eight students.
